Currently, I am participating in the minor Liberal Arts at ArtEZ in Zwolle. I am focusing on art, philosophical depth and cultural broadening. I use art and philosophy as a source of inspiration for asking and answering questions about myself, my role as a designer, my life and my place in the world.
During my study, the minor is a moment of stillness, reflection and connection to art. I work in an environment without any expectations which gives space to discover myself and focus on the way I live and work in the world.
As part of the minor, I worked on a project in nature. I spent three days outside while I was walking, perceiving, feeling and enjoying nature, myself and our connection. I was able to freely play with what nature gave to me.
The art academy offers endless possibilities outside the familiar terrain of my own study which I enjoy to the fullest. I focus on the way I become visible through my work and feel much more connected to myself and the things I make.
In the workshops at the academy I am able to dive deeper into my passion for printing. I made a linocut and printed it in different colours on different papers. Each gives a whole different impression on the linocut.
